Modernized Banneker will be Fabulous!

From the 1920’s through the 1960’s the District of Columbia built extraordinary Jr. High School buildings for 7^th, 8^th and 9^th grade students.  There were two dozen of these large Jr. high buildings.  Each one had all the components of a standard high school including performing arts spaces, choral and instrumental music spaces, art studios, athletic spaces, cafeterias, career/tech and laboratory science classrooms and administrative offices in addition to spacious, day-lit classrooms.  Several of these buildings serve as high schools today, including:
